The artist
Meet Casey McCallister, landscape photographer
Casey McCallister grew up in a small West Texas town of fewer than 1,000 people. By his own telling, the horizon there is infinite. He first picked up a camera in the Rockies, to share his adventures with family back home.
The journey has since led him to Ireland. He is an American living in Wicklow now, in a studio that looks out at the Wicklow Mountains. He says he feels right at home.
He photographs landscapes, coastlines, mountains and the in-between moments that make a place memorable. His pictures, he says, give a voice to a feeling he has never quite found the words for.

The places
Four places, four kinds of home
Every photograph is tied to a real place, from the Colorado Rockies to Ireland's Saltee Islands.

Colorado
Colorado's Rocky Mountains are home to Casey, and where his camera first came out. Colorful Colorado is the roadside welcome sign, alone in the prairie grass.

Prada Marfa, Texas
Desert Chic I shows the Prada Marfa art installation alone under a huge desert sky. Desert Chic II steps closer, to its shelves of heels. Both are in black and white.

Saltee Islands, Ireland
At sunset, an Atlantic puffin rests on the cliffs. The Irish Puffin is a portrait from Ireland, where Casey now feels right at home.

Colorful Colorado: the story behind the photograph
A roadside welcome sign stands alone in prairie grass beneath a pale, open sky. The palette is soft and muted, and the frame is almost entirely quiet.
Casey first picked up a camera in the Rockies, to share his adventures with family back home. A sign like this is where those adventures begin: the line you cross, the road ahead, the people you will tell.
It becomes the state you moved to, the one you grew up in, or the road trip the family still talks about. On a wall, it says: this is where the story starts.

At home
Landscape wall art for the home, and beyond
Calm, warm and a little nostalgic, these photographs make a room feel lived in and loved.

In the entryway
Hang a tall print at eye level where people come in. Moving Forward, a path of trees full of light, sets a welcoming tone for the whole house.
In a home office
Colorful Colorado is muted and quiet, so it keeps a desk calm. It suits an office, a cabin or a reading corner.
On a gallery wall
Group three that share a palette. Pair the soft sky of Colorado with two black and white desert prints for a wall with one story.
