The artist
Meet Henrike Schenk, a photographer of quiet beauty
Henrike Schenk is a travel and lifestyle photographer. Born in the north and raised by the water, she has always been drawn to the sea, open horizons and the calm they bring.
She loves soft light, natural textures and muted pastel color, the moments that make you stop and look a little longer. She has been chasing that beauty with her camera since 2016.
She travels often, though home with her family is where she loves to be. The Mediterranean South, with its sun-washed color and slower rhythm, inspires her again and again.

The moment
The Liquor Shop: the story behind the photograph
On the Amalfi Coast, an old liquor shop stands open to the street. Bottles line the windows, and the painted sign has seen many summers.
It is the kind of place you only find on foot, on a slow afternoon with nowhere to be. That is the moment Henrike Schenk kept, and it is our most loved piece of hers.
People choose it for that memory: an Italian holiday, a long lunch, the joy of a small discovery.
