Meet Wesley Lewis, creative director and film photographer
Wesley Lewis, known as Wezlew, is a creative director and analog photographer based in Cape Town. His journey began at 17, and what started as a friendly interest grew into a busy career with international recognition.
He grew up painting, encouraged by an uncle who painted too. The ocean and his early surf photography still shape how he sees.
Today he shoots campaigns for international brands and works across fashion, landscapes and design. His guiding idea is simple: make art for yourself, and the right people will follow.

Carelessly Me: the story behind the photograph
In South Africa, someone dives into a long, still pool. A straw hat floats on the water beside the splash, left behind in the rush to get in.
It is the best kind of summer afternoon: hot stone, cool water and no plan at all. Wesley caught it on film, mid-dive.
People choose it for a bedroom, a bathroom or a room with a view of the garden. It is a reminder to jump in while the sun is out.
