Meet Lisa Atkinson, seeker of beauty and lover of light
Lisa Atkinson is a lifestyle, interiors and fine art photographer based in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula in Australia.
She started in the darkroom and spent 15 years photographing weddings. Today she photographs spaces, places, faces and all things lifestyle, in a style she describes as fresh, natural and beautiful.
Wedding days taught her to travel light and get it right the first time. That calm, ready eye is in every frame.
The moment
Uplifting: the story behind the photograph
Outside of Melbourne, a chairlift passes overhead. From below, all you see is a row of skis hanging against a white winter sky.
It is the hush of a snow day, simple and graphic, almost like a drawing. That is what Lisa Atkinson saw, and it is our most loved piece of hers.
